Silverfishlongboarding had a Hawaiian shirt contest a while back. We offered a deck kit as a prize.
The Fish
Alan (aka: mojomuskrat) was the big winner. I even tried to enter but for some reason they would not let me win my own kit...Haaa!
Here are the pictures of the winning shirt and the deck he built using our kit....both look sweet as a Hawaiian pineapple.

I finished this board a while back, but I wanted to be sure and send you some photos. Feel free to use them on your site if you wish. You'll see that it has gotten lots of joyful riding :-)
I had been wanting to try your kit for some time, after using some rib-style presses to make a few boards. The TAP bag really opened up the possibilities. I was inspired to branch into some composite construction. I was able to easily add a layer of 6 oz S-glass to the bottom of the board, with some patterned fabric underneath. This made the flex perfect for my weight, and reinforced the drop-through cutouts.
Drop through cutouts were cut with a drill and a jigsaw to approximation, then hand-filed to exact fit for Randal II 180mm trucks. The deck is 3.25 inches off of the ground with 68mm wheels. This deck is perfect for pushing, pumping, carving, and cruising.
I really enjoyed the kit, and I'll get many more uses out of it. Thanks again!
Your Silverfish Hawaiian shirt contest winner,
~Alan
